Happy Monday, 12th Mile Community…
The Launch Party on Saturday was powerful. It was a blessing to see many of you there. The incredible support I experienced and the words of encouragement many of you shared with me were very moving! Even the weather was cooperative! This is no small feat for April in Michigan!
Ben Furey, athletic trainer and coach, and Shandy Longcore, founder of embracingimperfections.com, shared remarks. Their support and expertise have blessed this project at every step.
I also spoke at the launch. If I could capture the essence of what I tried to express on Saturday, it would be this: You are NOT alone! This was one of the biggest mental challenges I faced during my 15-year run of the 12th Mile. The journey felt lonely!
I know that many of you have supported this project in quiet, meaningful ways.
You sent a text to encourage.
You gave me a hug.
You downloaded the book and/or picked up your copy at the party.
You started reading.
You shared it with someone you care about.
You took the time to leave encouraging reviews.
Every step has helped place this story into the hands of someone who may need it right now.
Tomorrow begins a new part of the journey. The print book will be available, and the eBook will be free for a few days. If your life has allowed you to experience even a portion of the 12th Mile message and it has resonated with you, I would be grateful if you continued sharing it so others can find it too. Thank you for walking this with me.
My hope and my prayer is that readers who choose to engage with this book don’t just move through the pages quickly, but that they find themselves somewhere inside the story. And wherever that is, they feel seen and understood.
With love to you all,
Louise Ann
